Futch Tube, Stay in the Car, American Love Wheel, B.A.F.T.A L.A Student film awards and Sacramento John Campbell-Mac Blog August 22 2013
Not been on here for a while it’s been a very busy period, I worked on Scyfy comedy series Futch Tube. The final two episodes of season one are now available to watch online see http://vimeo.com/66802721
I don't want to give to much away but there a major “cliff-hanger” at the end of final episode.
Stay in the Car
Had the pleasure of working with Jonathon Maas and David Keith again on the film “Stay in the Car”. We shot out in Lancaster, California which has amazing scenery and is very spooky at night which fitted the movie perfectly. I also worked with Jon on his feature ‘Spanners’ alongside ‘Day of our Lives’ star Shawn Christian. I believe the project is nearing the end of post production so looking forward to seeing the finished product.
American Love Wheel
I signed on for the new comedy feature American love wheel and attended a fantastic fathers day boxing event in Pomona with the rest of the cast. The event was at the Mosely Manor and promoted by 6 time world champion Sugar Shane. He and he’s incredibly charismatic father Jack are also both in the film. fun day with some great boxing from one and all. I recently did some promotional pictures for the film which will be coming soon.
B.A.F.T.A L.A Student film Awards
I attended the BAFTA- LA student film awards at the Los Angeles film school and served as one of the jury members. The standard of all the films was outstanding and had a really fun night with Nadia Jordan and Leila Birch who you may remember from Eastenders fame.
Lastly I stole a couple of days to visit a friend and explore Sacramento. Great place with so much to do, went paddle boarding and kayacking, even took a boat out and did a little fishing. Visited the Nimbus fishery on the American river in Folsom and learnt about the incredible migration of the King Salmon on their journey to Pacific and back, incredible. They start running in October and it is a sight to see as they return to spawn and die.
